The communication was great before and during their visit, especially since I was out of town for the first few days and another Division Chief became their point of contact. On the night of their first day, we had issues with road closure, weather, and the location for the “centerfold” shot. I am Fire Captain Kevin Danielson of the City of Clifton Fire Department in New Jersey, and I am the project manager for the Heritage Album you are producing for the department. As the City of Clifton Fire Department Heritage Album comes to a close, I wish to express the following sentiments about the project shared by Fire Chief Frank Prezioso and myself.
A great product begins with a great foundation, that foundation is made up of passionate employees that know their responsibilities through hours and hours of perfecting their craft. One master crafter I speak of is Ms. Jen Eno-Wolfe. Ms. Jen was assigned to compile the immense number of pictures, history, and data to process for our fire department’s album. As the project manager for the Clifton Fire Department, I had no idea what to expect. Ms. Jen would soon make this project come to life.
From the first proof to the last proof, Ms. Jen’s talents became more evident. She was able to take my concepts and put them into memorable snapshots of the department’s history. The book she created will now be part of the Clifton Fire Department history. Along with her creative talents, attention to detail, and customer service skills exceeded expectations. She took this novice photo historian and helped me assemble one-hundred and ten pages of colorful, inspirational, and detail-oriented images. Her answers to my questions throughout this project were 100% on point. There wasn’t anything she could not accommodate for the project. Hence, she put the customer at ease in such a grand project to allow for free thinking and artistic expression.
I am certain there are other talented members behind the scenes that can share in the success of this project to make this a true team effort. Please thank them as well.
In closing, this is one project in my thirty-five years of fire experience where I had to capture multiple generations of fire department family and create a snapshot in time.
